Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer PF Error Explained
The whirlpool Cabrio dryer PF error means the main control has had a power failure from either a loss of voltage from the power supply or the board itself. Usually a power surge causes the PF error and is easily reset.
- You may also need to perform a whirlpool cabrio dryer reset by unplugging the dryer for five minutes, this will reset the main board and is the only form of a control reset you can do.
- Press the pause/cancel button to clear the error from the display and restart the cycle. If the error happens again check the fuse/breaker at the panel and make sure its not blown / tripped, you may need to replace them.
- If the breaker / fuse checks out ok in the panel check that the dryer cord is properly connected to the dryer terminal block and make sure the connections are tight. Look for any burned spots at the terminal and on the cord itself.
- If the cord is good and the terminal block looks good then check the wall plug for loose wiring or bad contacts. If your home wiring is good, the cord is good and the dryer terminal block is good then the problem lies in the main control board and it will have to be replaced.
