I’ve replaced the suspension rods and still got the same problem, drum extremely off balanced and stops. I ran a diagnostic mode and got code f 51. It says it’s a rps or wiring issue. My question is, is the extreme unbalance a symptom of that or will I just be replacing a part the machine sees as being defective.
If you replaced the suspension rods and the washer is level and the clothes are being distributed in the tub properly then the stator is cracked and causing the washer to go off balance. That could also cause the error codes your are getting as well. What I recommend is changing the stator and rps sensor at the same time and you should be in good shape. If you need part numbers click the link below and follow the instructions to find your model number then leave it in the comments section at the bottom of that page, thanks.
