The F1 error code on a Whirpool Cabrio washer means that water level pressure switch that is built into the computer board on those models is sending an incorrect signal to the board. In most cases it\’s a stopped up or pinched water level pressure switch hose ( the hose that runs from pressure switch on the back of the control board to the tub) when they get stopped up with soap scum or debris it can\’t push air pressure back to the switch as the tub fills with water so the unit does not know when to shut off the water as the tub fills so the computer shuts the machine off and shows that error to keep from over filling the washer. Check the pressure switch hose for being stopped up, pinched or small holes, rips or tears.
