FRIGIDAIRE AFFINITY WASHER ERROR E21
The Frigidaire Affinity Washer Error E21 is a long drain error, meaning it takes too long for the washer to drain to satisfy the primary control, so it’s shutting down the cycle and reporting the E21 error. This error can be caused by trash in the drain pump, a clogged drain hose, or a failed drain pump. In some cases, even if the drain pump is running, the impeller may be damaged, so it’s not draining as fast as it should.
The first thing you need to do is check the drain pump for trash or anything that may be clogging it up. Then check the drain hose and make sure it’s clear. If all that seems ok, then you just need to replace the drain pump on the washer. If the drain pump does not run at all and you have a voltmeter, you should verify that the drain pump is getting voltage from the control board. If it’s not getting 110/120 VAC, then the control board will have to be replaced. If you can’t check voltage, just replace the drain pump.
