The Cabrio Washer DU error code happens when the main control detects a problem with the lid lock assembly not being able to unlock properly or the control cannot determine if the door lock assembly is in a locked or unlocked state. The steps to take to try and remedy this error are below.
- First unplug the washer for a few minutes and plug it back in this may reset the board and allow you to start a new cycle.
- If the reset above didn’t work make sure you do not have a heavy load of clothes or something sitting on the lid of the washer that would be putting pressure on the lid not allowing the lock bolt to retract.
- If none of the steps above worked then either the lock assembly is faulty or the lock circuit on the board is bad.

WHIRLPOOL CABRIO WASHER Model WTW6200VW0, is getting ERROR DU. It is making a constant clicking noise and the lid is not locking.
I unplugged power for several minutes and plugged it back in, and got same issue.
