    1. You need to replace the door lock assembly. You can manually open the door by following the directions below. Without your model number, I can’t give you the part information.

      To open the door manually:

      1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
      2. Remove the lower kick panel.
      3. Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch/lock unit.
      4. Located on the bottom of the door switch/lock unit is a tear-drop shaped tab.
      5. Gently pull the tab down about a ¼” or until a click is heard.
      6. The door should be opened.

If your washer does not have the access panel at the bottom then remove the top lid off the washer and look down at the door lock assembly you will see the white tab to pull on top of the door lock assembly just pull the tab upward and the door will open.

  1. I changed the door lock mechanism and I still have the same issue, it will lock the door to start the cycle, and then make a click/buz noise 6 times and then the time, and wash selection will continuously blink

    1. If you replaced the door lock assembly and the buzz noise is coming from the door lock or the main control then the lock circuit in the main control is bad and the main control will have to be replaced. If the click/buzz noise is coming from under the washer then you need to have a look at the drain pump see if it has debris blocking the impeller from turning. If the pump is ok and you need more information or part numbers give me the model number of the washer and I can be of more help.
