Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Error F41
The Cabrio Washer F41 error happens when the main control detects that the motor rotor position sensor (RPS) has a shorted or open thermistor, some things you can do to try an fix this error are listed below:
- Spin the basket by hand and see if it spins freely, if not then there is some kind of mechanical friction stopping the basket from spinning properly.
- Remove the back of the console and check the P5 and P10 connectors on the main board, makes sure they are properly seated in the board and that the wires are not broken or burned. Unplug P5 and P10 and plug them back in.
- Try and run a cycle and if the error persists then there are some diagnostic steps you can take using an ohm/volt meter, if you have a meter and would like to do these tests let us know and a tech can help you in live chat.
In most cases the problem is caused by a failed RPS Sensor.
