The Cabrio Washer F9E1 error code happens when the main control detects water in the tub is not draining fast enough, also known as the Drn, Drain, or Long Drain error.
- Check the water level pressure switch hose from the tub to the main control for kinks, pinches or tears, also make sure its connected properly to the main control.
- Can you hear the pump motor running? If so unplug the washer and pull the tub to pump hose off and look for any blockage in the line. Pull the pump motor off and check it for any trash that may have be causing it to drain slow. If the issue continues and you followed the steps above and you are certain the pump is getting voltage from the main control replace the water pump.
- If all the above looks ok then there are tests that can be made with an ohm/volt meter to determine the cause of the problem and/or verify a faulty pump motor.
