Samsung Waster 5E Drain Issue

I have a WF42H5200AP/A2 Samsung front loader washer that is providing persistent 5E (failure to drain) codes. I have checked it level, made sure the filter is clean, replaced the drain pump, replaced the drain check valve, and replaced and measured the drain hose to make sure it was inserted the correct amount (6-8 inches).  However, it is still stopping in the middle of a cycle stating failure to drain. There is no water in the drum when it gives the error, and only a normal amount leftover water when I drain it to check the filter.

My question is, could this be the water level switch or the mainboard. Is there a way to narrow down and test?

The washer appears to be running the drain pump at the start of each cycle for an inordinate amount of time with no water coming out of the drain hose. I'm assuming this means it is sensing water still in the drum?

Anyone have experience with this?

The 5E error code on your Samsung Washer usually means there's a problem with draining. But if you're seeing this error and there's no water in the tub, it looks like the main control is getting mixed signals. It thinks there's water when there isn't. This kind of mix-up typically happens when the water level pressure sensor isn't working right. To fix this, you'll probably need to swap out the water level pressure sensor switch. That should get your washer back to detecting water levels correctly. The part you need for your model can be ordered from the link below.

@master-tech I actually ordered that last night. I was just hoping to determine if there was a way to isolate the issue to a mainboard problem or the pressure switch. But the pressure switch is around $16, so I might as well rule that out. Thanks for confirming though.

Glad you got one ordered. That should fix the problem as it's the most common cause for that issue. If that happens not to fix it the control board is corrupt.
