WHIRLPOOL CABRIO WASHER ERROR F8E6
The Cabrio Washer F8E6 error code happens when the main control detects water in the tub when the lid is open, meaning the water inlet valve is likely letting water in the tub when it should not be. This considered a Water Hazard Condition.
- Check the water level pressure switch hose from the tub to the main control for kinks, pinches or tears, also make sure its connected properly to the main control.
- Turn the power to the machine off or unplug it, does water still enter the machine? If so the water inlet valve has failed and needs to be replaced.
- If all the above looks ok then there are tests that can be made with an ohm/volt meter, but most likely the water pressure level switch sensor on the main board has failed and the board will have to be changed out to repair the washer.
